LONGVIEW, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team dropped two games to LeTourneau Saturday in Longview. With these losses, the Cru's season record falls to 24-14 with an 8-8 mark in American Southwest Conference action. The YellowJackets improve to 15-25 with a 6-10 record in league play.

Game one played scoreless through three innings. The Cru broke through in the top of the fourth with a
Bryton Wright single, advancing
Tori Skinner to third after her single in the previous at-bat. Wright advanced to second on the throw to third, scoring Skinner on an error. The YellowJackets answered in the bottom of the frame with three runs on three hits, taking the 3-1 lead. LeTourneau added one more in the fifth on an RBI double.
Tori Skinner led off the top of the sixth with a single up the middle, followed by
Bryton Wright who hit an RBI double to left, scoring Skinner.
Taylor Henken then hit a single up the middle to advance
Ava Jolley, who pinch ran for Wright, to third.
Ryleigh Mills and
Gabriela Vela each had sacrifice hits, scoring Jolley and Henken to tie the game 4-4. The YellowJackets regained the 5-4 lead in the bottom of the frame with a homerun. The Cru tied it up again in the top of the seventh with a squeeze bunt from
Tori Skinner to score
Lindsey Polleschultz. LeTourneau successfully mirrored this play in their last at-bat, taking the 6-5 win.

UMHB got on the board first in the top of the second in game two with a
Bailey Frenzel RBI double to score
Gabriela Vela. The Cru added another in third when
Lindsey Polleschultz hit a triple to right field, scoring on a throwing error. The YellowJackets knotted the game at two in the bottom of the fourth, scoring two runs on three hits. LeTourneau closed it out in the fifth inning scoring eight runs on seven hits.
