BELTON, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team earned a 2-1 win over Texas Lutheran University Saturday night in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 2-0 on the season while the Bulldogs fell to 1-1.

UMHB totaled seven shots in the first half of action, putting four on frame.
Lennon Kindred led the Cru with two shots, putting one on goal. UMHB's defense did not allow a single shot in the first half, stifling the Bulldog offense.

Davin Khaffaji broke the drought in the 75
th minute, scoring off an assist from
Aidan Aguilera-Reeves for a 1-0 UMHB lead. Texas Lutheran responded with the equalizer in the 81
st minute before Aguilera-Reeves put the Cru back on top less than one minute later, scoring off a free kick for a 2-1 Cru lead. UMHB held off the Bulldogs for the remainder of the half, sealing the win.

Lennon Kindred led the Cru with two shots each as UMHB put eight of 11 shots on frame. UMHB limited the Bulldogs to just three total shots with goalkeeper
Mack Elliott making two saves in the win.

UMHB will play a pair of games in Colorado next week. The Cru will open with a 5 p.m. contest against Whitman College on Friday, September 5
th and face No. 20 Colorado College on Sunday, September 7
