LONGVIEW, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team played scoreless through double overtime, tying the Cru with LeTourneau 0-0. UMHB moved to 6-4-3 on the season and 3-2-2 in American Southwest Conference play while the YellowJackets moved to 4-9-2 overall and 2-4-1 in league play.
McKenna Cook led the Cru with three shots while
Julio Mar,
Ben Hammonds and
Case Carnes each added three. UMHB outshot the YellowJackets 28-9 in the match, putting 14 shots on goal.
Javier Zaragoza took the tie in the net for the Cru, recording a shutout with five saves against LeTourneau. UMHB took 17 cornerkicks in the match and allowed just one.
UMHB closes out the regular season next weekend with a home series against the University of Texas at Tyler and University of the Ozarks. The Cru opens the weekend in a 3 p.m. game on Friday, October 30
th against the U.T.-Tyler Patriots.
