BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team played Pacific University to a scoreless double-overtime tie Saturday evening in Belton, moving both teams to 2-1-1 records on the season.
Kathryn Parker led the Cru with five shots followed by
Amanda Carlough with two. UMHB outshot the Boxers 12-7 in the contest, putting four shots on goal to Pacific's one. UMHB's defense led by
Jacy Hunt and
Charis Brantley held the Boxers to just one shot on goal, fighting off a late offensive surge in the second overtime of the contest. UMHB took four corner kicks to Pacific's five.
Courtney Craig earned the shutout tie in the goal for UMHB while Kailey Hifumi took the stat for Pacific.
UMHB returns to action Friday, September 16
th in a 2 p.m. match against Louisiana College at the Cru Sports Plex in Belton.
