Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team scored in the first five minutes and never looked back as the Cru rolled to an 11-0 victory over Louisiana College Friday afternoon in Belton. UMHB improves to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0 in American Southwest Conference play with the victory. The loss drops the Wildcats to 0-4-2 overall and 0-1-0 in the ASC on the year.
Kat Parker opened the scoring with a goal at 4:56 and the Cru added two more goals in a four-minute span to take control. The lead would grow to 7-0 at halftime and UMHB added four more goals in the second half. Chelsea Graham had three goals and two assists to lead the Cru. Allison Porter added a goal and an assist, Parker added two assists to her goal and Jessica Prather and Taylor Marques both had goals and assists in the second half. Four goalkeepers combined on the shutout as the Cru defense held the Wildcats without a shot. McKenna Raines had eight saves in goal for Louisiana College.
The Cru women will return to action with a 2:00 PM home match against Belhaven University on Saturday. That game will not count in the ASC standings.
