BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team routed Belhaven University 5-0 Saturday evening in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 4-1-1 on the season while the Blazers fell to 1-4.
Taylor Marques, the Schlotzsky's Lotz Better Player of the Game, opened scoring for UMHB, scoring in the 30
th minute for a 1-0 UMHB lead. The Cru held that lead until halftime before adding four more second-half goals.

Chelsea Graham added one more goal in the 66
th minute off an assist from
Amanda Carlough before
Hailey Logsdon scored the fifth and final goal in the 83
rd minute. Porter led the Cru with six shots followed by Marques, Logsdon, Graham and
Nicole Burgett. UMHB totaled 25 shots in the contest with 18 on goal while limiting the Blazers to no shots.
Courtney Craig and
Cassidi Musser split time in the goal, while Erika Smith played the entire game for Belhaven.
UMHB returns to action Tuesday, September 20
th in a 7 p.m. match against Trinity University at the Cru Sports Plex in Belton.
