AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team swept Concordia University Texas 3-0 Friday evening in Austin. The win improved the Cru to 10-5 on the season and 4-2 in American Southwest Conference action while the Tornados fall to 7-8 overall and 3-5 in league play.
UMHB took the match in straight 25-16, 25-22, 25-19 set wins.
Abby Voskuil led the Cru with nine kills while
Sydney Stolz added eight and
Maddie Frerich had seven.
Natasha Evans led UMHB with 25 assists while
Miranda Klein had a team-high two service aces. Defensively,
Haleigh Evans led UMHB with 24 digs while Voskuil and
Jordan Yates each added seven.
Maddie Frerich recorded a game-high 11 total blocks followed by
Natasha Evans with eight. UMHB totaled 37 kills on 99 total attacks with a .202 hitting percentage while the Tornados had 33 kills on 136 attacks for a .022 percentage. The Cru also tallied 34 assists, four service aces and 57 digs.
UMHB continues play on Tuesday, October 4
th in a 6 p.m. against McMurry University at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
