LONGVIEW, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team earned a 2-0 road win over LeTourneau University Saturday night in Longview. The win improved the Cru to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in American Southwest Conference action. LeTourneau fell to 3-5 on the season and 0-2 in league play.
Harper Roland put the Cru ahead in the sixth minute, scoring on an assist from
Ethan Dacaret for a 1-0 UMHB lead. The Cru got another point on the board in the 37
th minute when the YellowJackets inadvertently put one into their own goal to give the UMHB another score. The second half played scoreless, giving the Cru a 2-0 win.
Nick Villanueva led the Cru with fie shots while
Patrick Roach added four. UMHB put 10 of 18 shots on frame and limited the YellowJackets to just four shots on frame.
Dalton Lloyd played the full 90 minutes in the goal for the Cru, making four saves in the shutout.
UMHB returns to action on Thursday, September 30
th in a 7:30 p.m. match against University of the Ozarks at the UMHB Soccer Field in Belton.
