BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team earned a come-from-behind win over Concordia University Texas to close the regular season with a 3-1 win. The win sends the Cru into the postseason with a 17-7 overall record and 10-5 mark in American Southwest Conference action while the Tornados move to 12-11 overall and 8-8 in league play.
UMHB used a 4-0 run to earn advantage in the opening set and led by as many as five before the Tornados fought back to tie the set at 19. UMHB won the next two points but CTX fought back to tie the set at 21. The Tornados used a 4-1 run from there to open the match with a 25-22 first-set win.
The second set saw nine tied scores until the 18-18 mark when UMHB used a 7-2 run to even the match.
Dravyn Hurd led the Cru with two kills in the stretch as UMHB earned a 25-20 win.
Concordia Texas led by as many as six in the third set but UMHB fought back to tie it at 12. The Tornados went on an 8-4 run for a 20-16 lead but UMHB fought back again to tie the set at 22. The set went back and forth from there but with the Cru constructing a 3-0 run to win it 27-25.

Hannah Frasca took over at the line and served eight consecutive points for an 11-5 UMHB lead. The Cru held on from there, cruising to a 25-15 win.
Hannah Frasca led the Cru with 16 kills, followed by
Kaylie Vasil with 12 and
Katie Warden with 10. UMHB hit 55 kills on 175 attacks, anchored by
Ella Brunson with 45 assists.
Alyssa Christiansen led UMHB with four service aces, followed by
Maddie Gillispie and
Jenci Seahorn with two each. Christiansen was the Cru's defensive leader with 26 digs, followed by Frasca with 24. UMHB totaled 105 digs in the match with six team blocks, limiting the Tornados to a .149 hitting percentage.
