Men’s Soccer falls to Trinity

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team fell to Trinity University (Texas) 6-1 Friday night in San Antonio. The Cru fell to 2-3-1 on the season while the Tigers improved to 5-0-2 overall. 

The Tigers jumped to an early lead, scoring three goals in the first 21 minutes of action. Trinity tacked on one more score in the 41st minute to go into the half ahead 4-0. The Tigers added another goal in the 57th minute before UMHB got on the board with an Alex Bethke goal off a Peighton Raisey assist. The Tigers tacked on a final score in the 86th minute to claim the 6-1 win. 

The Cru totaled five shots, led by Bethke with two shots on goal. Ethan Hilliard and Hayden Owens split time at goalkeeper for the Cru with Hilliard making six saves. 

UMHB returns to action on Sunday, September 24th in a 7 p.m. match against Southwestern University at the UMHB Soccer Field in Belton.
