"This was a great game played by two great programs," Head Coach
Sam Patterson said. "I have a ton of respect for Coach Bridgeland. What he has done in his coaching career is incredible. Our guys were excited about this opportunity and I'm proud of the way they executed the game plan. We knew it was going to be a high scoring game. I wanted our guys to play with a sense of freedom to go out and be loose and trust their work. We have great leadership on this team and it really shows in games like tonight where it takes every single person in this program. Every player, every coach, every support staff member. I think too many times the athletic training staff gets overlooked. We are blessed to have
Katie Montalbo take care of these players and games like tonight that are back-to-back games really show the value that she brings to this program. Our players were fresh and healthy and that's a testament to her hard work and the seriousness that she comes to work with every single day. We will enjoy this win and excited to get back to Texas and refocus on a great Concordia team in a few days."
UMHB returns to action on Saturday, January 3
rd in a 2 p.m. contest against Concordia University Texas at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
