COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team held No. 20 Colorado College scoreless in a 0-0 tie Sunday in Colorado Springs. The tie moved the Cru to 2-0-2 on the season, ending the team's Colorado trip with a pair of ties.
UMHB's defense held strong, not allowing the Tigers a single shot in the first 28 minutes of play. The Cru outshot Colorado College 5-2 in the first half but neither team was able to score.
Mack Elliott made a save at the 68:38 mark in the second half and again at 77:10 to keep the Cru in the game. The contest went into a lightning delay at 82:28 with both teams sitting for more than 30 minutes before play resumed. The Tigers came out strong, putting three shots on frame but a pair of Elliott saves and a team save kept the score at 0-0.
Martin Valdes put a shot on goal for the Cru at the 88:31 mark, but Alex Wolter made the save and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Arnold Perez-Valenzuela Jr. led the Cru with three shots each while four different Crusaders put a shot on frame. UMHB totaled 15 shots in the contest while the Tigers tallied 14, putting six of those on goal.
Mack Elliott made five saves in the shutout while Alex Wolter totaled four for Colorado College.
UMHB returns to action on Thursday, September 11
th in a 7:30 p.m. contest at the University of St. Thomas (Texas) in Houston.
