TYLER, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team swept Belhaven University 3-0 Friday afternoon on the campus of the University of Texas at Tyler. The win improved the Cru to 12-8 on the season while the Blazers fell to 7-4.
Shelby Russell led the Cru with 10 kills while
Abby Voskuil added seven and
Cheyenne Dowdey had six.
Shelby Prather led the Cur with 24 assists as UMHB hit .321 in the match. Prather also led the Cru to seven services aces, recording five of her own. Defensively, Prather led the Cru with 15 digs while
Jordan Yates added 11. Dowdey led the Cru's defense at the line, recording four solo blocks and three block assists as UMHB denied 10 as a team. UMHB totaled 31 kills on 81 attacks with five errors while the Blazers had 16 kills on 95 total attacks with 26 errors.
