AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team fell 3-0 to the University of Texas at Tyler in its final match of the American Southwest Conference Crossover I Saturday afternoon in Austin. The loss dropped UMHB to 9-4 on the season and 4-1 in American Southwest Conference action while the Patriots improved to 11-2 overall and 2-3 in league play.
U.T.-Tyler earned straight 25-18, 25-20, 25-22 set wins to take a 3-0 win over UMHB.
Abby Voskuil led the Cru with nine kills followed by
Sarah Paolini and
Sydney Stolz with four each.
Natasha Evans recorded 22 assists as the Cru hit 26 kills in the match.
Haleigh Evans led UMHB's defense with 13 digs followed by
Natasha Evans with 10. UMHB hit .149 in 87 total attacks, adding 34 digs and six blocks. The Patriots had 51 kills on 110 total attacks for a .309 percentage with 41 digs.
UMHB continues play on Tuesday, September 27
th at 6 p.m. in a West Division showdown at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene.
