Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer defeats LeTourneau 4-0

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team earned a 4-0 win over LeTourneau University Saturday evening in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 4-5-1 on the season and 2-0 in American Southwest Conference action while the YellowJackets fell to 4-5-1 overall and 0-2 in league play. 

UMHB got on the board in the 18th minute when Mason Crites finished off a corner kick from Sawyer Young. The Cru added one more in the first half on a penalty kick by Xjavier Martinez to go into the half ahead 2-0.

UMHB added two more insurance goals in the second half. Ethan Dacaret scored in the 59th minute for a three-goal margin before Martinez added another in the 78th minute to secure the 4-0 shutout. 

The Cru recorded 12 shots with nine on frame, led by Dacaret with three shots and two on goal. Hayden Owens claimed the win for the Cru, playing all 90 minutes in the net while totaling two saves. 

UMHB returns to action on Thursday, October 5th in a 7:30 p.m. match against Howard Payne University in Brownwood.
